DOCUMENTATION AND PRESERVATION
- BC’s Custodian of Sport Heritage
Canada’s greatest athletes, sports organizations and organizers of major sporting events have donated artifacts and archival documents to our collection because they are confident that their precious items will be cared for according to strict Canadian Conservation Institute standards. Held in the public trust, our collection is preserved, interpreted and exhibited through educational programs, loaned programs and temporary exhibits.
The Collection Committee, full time curator, and the President and CEO of the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum oversee the collection to ensure it is protected from the damage that can result from contact with people, time and the environment, for the legal management of the collection and for the compilation and organization of related stories and information.
