BC Sports Hall of Fame – Facts and Stats

• The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is a not-for-profit, self-sustaining society.

• Staffed by a team of six full-time employees, the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is volunteer driven and guided by a Board of Trustees, with the assistance of a Foundation Board.

• The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum works towards “Honouring the Past and Inspiring the Future.”

• At present, 319 individuals and 55 teams have been inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum.

• The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is 20,000 feet of captivating and exciting exhibits displaying the passion and commitment of British Columbia athletes.

• Through artifacts, murals, photographs, videos, and games, visitors will learn about the cultural, historical, and social development of British Columbia. Visitors will be entertained, educated, and energized.

• The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is one of Canada’s largest and most dynamic sports museums.

• Located at Gate “A” of BC Place Stadium (at Beatty and Robson Street) in downtown Vancouver since 1993, the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is easily accessible by car, bus, and Skytrain (Stadium Station), and within walking distance of many other local attractions. (Please note the BC Sports Hall of Fame is not open to the public during Phase II construction of BC Place.)

• The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is the ideal place for families, groups, and tourists to visit. As one excited visitor said it best, “This is the only museum I have ever broken a sweat in.”

• The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is proud to offer a range of guided and self-guided programs for all types of groups including school classes, ESL classes, sports teams, and community groups.

• Over 1500 teachers across the province are using the Here In You on-line education program featuring BC Sports Hall of Famers.
