The BC Sports Hall of Fame offers a wide variety of fieldtrips for both schools and community groups. Ideal for Grades 4 through 10, our fieldtrips combine guided and self-guided tours plus interactive exploration in a dynamic venue for both students and educators.

NEW! Sochi Games Experience Tour
- Students will learn from the stories of Canadian Olympians and Paralympians like Maëlle Ricker, Josh Dueck, Sonja Gaudet, and Dominic Larocque. Experience each athletes’ journey and the obstacles they overcame to become Canada’s best.
- Relive the excitement of the Games in our Vancouver 2010 Gallery. Stand on a real medal ceremonies podium, and get up-close to a set of real Olympic and Paralympic medals!

Celebrate the Hall Tour
- 1 hour general guided tour of the BC Sports Hall of Fame and its new galleries
- 1 hour in the Participation Zone

History and Heroes Tour
This fieldtrip celebrates the history of sport in BC. Through the incredible journeys of our heroes, Future Hall of Famers will be inspired as they tour the First Nations, Best of BC, Our Teams Our Turf and Greg Moore Galleries. Students will explore the evolution of sport throughout BC, learn how young athletes transformed into Olympic champions and discover how small town teams developed into the Lions, Whitecaps and Canucks we know and love today.
Olympic Inspirations Tour
This fieldtrip introduces students to a variety of BC Olympians/Paralympians who have competed in past Games and highlights the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Future Hall of Famers will relive the excitement of the Vancouver 2010 Games on a tour of the medals, torches, podium and mascots. International and Canadian artifacts bring the athletes’ stories to life as students discover the passion and dedication of Olympic and Paralympic Champions.
Students will then view the inside of BC Place where the opening and closing ceremonies took place. After the tour students will take a look at some past mascots and create their own vision for what the 2014 Sochi Winter Games or the 2016 Rio Summer Games.
Hero In You Tour
This field trip focuses on goal-setting values and strategies used by Hall of Fame athletes to encourage students to achieve their dreams. Future Hall of Famers will spend time in the Hall of Champions bringing athletes stories to life through interactive media and artifacts. By emphasizing the importance of social responsibility, vision, passion, determination, confidence, innovation and positive attitude students will be motivated to find the champion in themselves. Following the Hall of Champions tour students will explore the remaining galleries and choose an athlete that they feel inspires them to set and achieve meaningful goals.
Terry Fox and Rick Hansen Tour
This fieldtrip explores the inspiring accomplishments of two great Canadian heroes: Terry Fox and Rick Hansen. Future Hall of Famers will spend time in the Terry Fox and Rick Hansen Galleries learning about these heroes’ humble beginnings and discussing how overcoming their physical obstacles became the catalyst for two extraordinary adventures.
Through their strength, determination, and selfless desire to help others in need, Terry Fox and Rick Hansen have touched the hearts of a nation and will forever be remembered for their contributions to sport and medical research. Canadians all over the country showed their support for Terry and Rick on their journeys. After the tour students will create a letter of support for Terry or Rick to encourage them on their travels.
Self Guided Tour
Groups are welcome to explore the rest of the museum at leisure with access to all of our galleries and Participation Zone. ESL scavenger hunt/worksheet available
